Glossary
- Anti-Skid Soles
- Bootie Soles made from synthetic rubber with maximum adhesion (grip).
- Slip-on arm sleeves
- Extra polycotton arms to pull over spandex arms. (slow the fall rate).
- Lower leg stiffeners
- A front and lateral stiffener panel between the front of the knee and the instep. Hooks into the laces on the front of your sport shoe with a tongue. For effective legwork.
- Booties
- Over the shoe type spoilers on the feet end of the suit, which give the skydiver more turning power and forward thrust.
- Blade Cut
- Straight-edged, sharp-angled bootie.
- Body cut
- Ergonomic fit with pre-formed knee area and continuous front.
- Cordura
- High strenth, robust 560 denier 6.6 nylon material for grips and reinforcements.
- Denier
- Unit used to describe the yarn count; the lower the number, the finer the yarn. Accordingly, 560 Cordura material is made of stronger yarn than 420 Parapack.
- Fastex Clips
- Plastic quick clips made of acetal, 80 dN tensile strength. Used on large camera wings.
- Parapack
- Abrasion-proof 420 denier 6.6 nylon material grips and reinforcements.
- Nylon
- In effect like nylon taffeta, exceedingly smooth, strong and light material; used for front of RW jumpsuit.
- Polycotton
- Robust blended fabric made of 65% polyester & 35% cotton.
- Rush-Order
- You need it in a hurry!
- RSL Carabiner
- Messing snap shackle normally used on RSL's (reserve static lines).
- RV
- Zipper from YKK and it's the best!
- Sure Grip
- Grips made of 560 Cordura with a soft filling for optimal feel and hold.
- Spin-dry
- You shouldn't do this to our suits!
- Swoops
- Hand loops to enable you to tension the material between the arm and body on extra wide suits.
- Spandex
- Elastic nylon material allowing freedom of movement in tight fitting areas.
